IRVING I. ASHRAF
Age 61 of Boynton Beach passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his home.
Irving is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Roxanne; 2 daughters, Cynthia Ashraf and Shana Ashraf; son, Matthew Ashraf; mother, Phatma Majeed; 5 brothers, Tazim (Esar), Zaman, Shirazad (Esther), Talash (Varone), Rasheed; 7 sisters, Zorena, Sally (Michael), Shireen (Faizool), Zalena, Dolly, Sonia, Alitia; and his four legged grandson Toby Ashraf.
Irving was born October 26, 1958 in Guyana to Phatma Majeed and the late, Sheriff Ashraf. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1975, graduated from Washington Irving High School and then went on to graduate from City College of New York with a bachelor’s degree and from the Harlem Physician Assistant Program in 2001. Irving specialized in Pediatrics and later worked in Urology.
Irving loved children and animals but most of all he lived and worked for his family. He will always be remembered for having a friendly smile, kind heart and always willing to help anybody in need. He will be missed dearly.
Friends will be received Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 5-8 PM and Friday from 10-11:30 AM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach, FL, 33435. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 31, 2020 at 12:30 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10935 South Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL, 33436. A Committal Service will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery at 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL, 33411. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Irving’s memory.
