Hay W. Mills

Mrs. Hay W. Mills (DOB 8/19/35) died peacefully following an illness and after a brief stay in hospice on May 12, 2014. She was the loving daughter of The Rev. Edmund B. Wood, Sr. and Frances B. Wood. She graduated from Germantown Friends School and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She married The Rev. W. Michael Cassell, Jr. in 1957 and for 34 years, they raised five children (all living): 3 sons: (Mike, Andrew, and Sam) and 2 daughters (Mary and Susan).
Hay married second husband, David R. Mills, in 1994 (who died 2/20/2011) and they resided in Seminole and Largo, FL. After a full life as a mother, rector’s wife and employment as an elementary school teacher, Hay lived in retirement with Dave. Besides caring for her husband and his family, she spent time in several outside interests dear to her. Hospice pet therapy, animal rescue, art and yoga classes, and cruising with her husband and friends were among them.
