Dan Doyle

Harry Daniel Doyle was called home to heaven on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Missing him today are his wife Dorene; his sons, Dan (Tracy) and TJ (Ally); his grandchildren Trace (Morgan) and Calie (Dylan), his family, his many friends, and the Gator nation.

Born in Ocala, Florida, Dan was the son of one of the first Florida Highway Patrolmen, Harry Doyle, and Grace O’Brien Doyle. His parents and his three sisters, Patricia, Katherine, and Mary, came to Florida from St. Louis, leaving many family members there. Dan was a very proud Floridian and loved vacationing within the state. He was an avid diver. Dan married Dorene Kimberly in 1967. Both graduated from Forest Hill High School in West Palm Beach, four years apart. Dan worked at Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach for many years before joining the team at Agilis in Palm Beach Gardens. His retirement from Agilis gave him the time to be Grandpa to his beloved grandchildren and all of their friends. Over the years, we all enjoyed memorable and often hilarious trips to the Keys for lobster season, and to Gainesville for football. He has loved his Gators through good times and bad, since he was a young man, and probably is still rooting for them from heaven. He will continue to be a part of the conversation during all the upcoming games and Keys trips. His favorite music was the Beach Boys and he loved anything we did by or in the water. Dan/Dad/Grandpa, we are all better for having you in our lives. You are greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

As one of our sons wrote,

“Dad- This will be the hardest post I’ve ever had to make. Whether you’re a person of faith or you believe in God, the world lost a true, genuine human being and wonderful man today. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need at a moments notice. He was a great father, with no equal, to my brother and I. He was a great husband to our mother; a great son and uncle to the remainder of our family, and a great friend to all those who knew him. His humor and silly stories could entertain us for hours on end, along with his crazy antics, like dressing up as the Pharaoh Ramseys while watching the Ten Commandments. He departs this world not of his choosing, but due to an unexpected and incurable awful disease that came out of nowhere - Dad, you will always be loved and missed and as I say this, I cannot contain the tears and sorrow for the void he will leave in our lives. Love you Dad! We will miss you forever and will see you again on the other side for another dive trip or gators football game - Go Gators Dad.”
