Loving wife of Cornelius K. Vander Kolk (deceased) passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Boynton Beach. Grace was born in Kalamazoo, MI to Isaac and Minnie Dirkse on July 6, 1916. She was a loving mother and homemaker her entire life. In 1978 Grace moved to Boynton Beach, FL with her husband, Cornelius. In their retirement years Grace and Cornelius enjoyed traveling the world extensively. Grace was involved in many community activities in Boynton Beach. She is survived by her children, James Vander Kolk (Boynton Beach, FL), Marvin Vander Kolk (Fruitport, MI); grandchildren, Jodi (Gary) Whitney and Kristine (Steve) Schmidt, 4 great grandchildren, her brother, Kenneth Dirkse, sister, Phylis Sopjes and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, brother, Frederick Dirkse, brother, Donald Dirkse, and sister, Joanne Morisky. A graveside service will be held on December 12, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo, MI at 1:00 PM.
