Gilbert Clough, 86, of Delray Beach Florida and New Paltz, NY passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Miriam Clough during the last 57 years. He was the loving father to James Clough, Linda Murillo, and Susan Clark and had seven grandchildren. Gilbert was born on September 14, 1926 in Lawrence, Mass. He served in the Army for the Air Corp during World War II. He graduated from Western Maryland College and pursued a career of 35 years selling Industrial Chemicals for the Penetone Corporation. Gil and Miriam raised their family in New Paltz for 48 years, and moved to Palm Beach County for the past six years. He was very involved in many community activities including the Reformed Church, the Mohonk Preserve, the Jaycees, Tres Dias, and prison Ministry. He was an avid skier and served on the National Ski Patrol for many years. He had a passion for music and had a strong, beautiful bass voice and sung in many choirs throughout the Hudson Valley and Florida. His Memorial Service will be held at Seacrest Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 1 pm. A future Memorial Service will be held in New Paltz, NY.
