GERTRUDE “Trudy” WILLMS
age 87 of Boynton Beach passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. Trudy was the Past President and Life Member of the Auxiliary of Bethesda Memorial Hospital (contributing more than 82,000 volunteer hours); also a member of the Bethesda Hospital Board; Order of the Eastern Star, Iretta Sherman Chapter #145; Life Member of the Boynton Woman’s Club; and the First United Methodist Church of Boynton Beach (Pairs & Spares).
Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, Al in 2000 but is survived by her 2 children and their spouses, Bruce & Cynthia Willms of Gainesville, Florida and Judi & Clyde Hoger of Lake City, Florida; 6 grandchildren & numerous great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday, January 12, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 & N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 101 Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, Florida with a reception to follow. Committal Services will follow at 1:30 PM at Palm Beach Memorial Park, Lantana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethesda Memorial Fund, Inc., 2815 S. Seacrest Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33435 in Trudy’s memory.
