GERTRUDE E. LOWN
Of Boynton Beach and Maybrook, New York passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013. She was the daughter of Clinton and Vera Eckert and cherished wife of Edward Lown.
She is survived by her daughters, Holly (Jim) Waters, Tanya (Richard) Bethard; grandson, Noah Bethard; granddaughter, Brittany Waters; grandson, Christopher Waters; great grandchildren, Jemma & Ian Waters; many cousins, nieces and nephews; friends far and near, especially Julia Barton who made sure her life was good the last few years. She was the niece of Norman and Carrie Eckert.
Gertrude was a registered nurse—Director of Nurses at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen, New York and a lifetime member of the Business and Professional Women’s Association. She was a world traveler; Cuba in the 1950’s, Rome, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Korea, to name a few. Her last memorable trip was to Paris with her daughters, Holly and Tanya for her 75th birthday. Remember Mom, “You’ll always have Paris”. We love you.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, 235 SW 6th Avenue, Boynton Beach. Further services and interment will be held in Walden, New York.
