GERALD “JERRY” J. WALSH
Age 72 of Boynton Beach passed away January 14, 2021 at Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach, Florida. Jerry was born July 30, 1948 in Rahway, New Jersey and lived in Lavallette, Vernon, Mt. Laurel and Forked River New Jersey before retiring to Boynton Beach. He was proud to have become an Eagle Scout in Troop 22 and received his private pilot’s license the morning of his 17th birthday before getting his driver’s license that same afternoon.
Jerry graduated from Seton Hall University in 1970 with a degree in Economics. He joined State Farm Insurance in 1970 and worked in various positions until becoming an agent in 2000 and then retiring in 2015.
Jerry married Jean Wainwright in 1969. He is survived by his wife, Jean; 3 children, Robert (wife, Marla), Wendy Heim (husband, Jason), Ryan (wife, Monica); grandchildren, Molly, Hannah, Stephanie, Joey, Rylie; his sister, Carolyn Werder and brother, Brian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Genevieve, as well as his brother, Thomas.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society in memory of Gerald J. Walsh.
