George William Leonhardt
Age 93, of Boynton Beach FL, passed away peacefully in his own home, on December 11,2019. George was born in 1926 to parents, Mathilda Boytim and William Leonhardt. He was born and raised in Yonkers NY. He served in Germany during WWll and had been a Florida resident for over 70 years. George’s career as an estimator for Lantana Boat Yard allowed him to travel the world experiencing unique cultures from the small countries he visited. George’s passions included flying airplanes, boating, tinkering and his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Doris Leonhardt. His survivors include daughters, Lori Leonhardt (Tom Truett) of Columbus, GA, Lisa Choy of Honolulu HI: sons, Gary (Debbie)Leonhardt of Hiwassee GA Jim (Mary) Leonhardt of Stuart FL. Six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 4 grand dogs.
A memorial service will be held graveside, on Tuesday December 17th at 11:00 am, at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Blvd, Lantana FL. A reception will follow at George’s home in Palm Beach Leisureville. In lieu of flowers please make a donation, to your favorite charity, in George’s name.
