Age 94 of Delray Beach passed away on Feb. 17, 2018 at his home.
Frank was born in the Bronx, New York in 1923 to Antoinette Forziati Pecoraro and Antonio Pecoraro. He had 2 sisters, Sylvia Cilento and Norma Bardani. After high school Frank served in the United States Army for 3 years overseas during World War II. Frank then served the City of New York where he worked for the Dept. of Sanitation until his retirement. Frank married Dorothy Marini on June 15, 1947 and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2017. They raised four sons, Anthony, Frank, Richard and Gregory. Frank is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his sons, Frank, Richard and Gregory; 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 3 step granddaughters and 2 great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony. Frank’s greatest achievement was his unconditional love and incredible sense of humor that he openly shared with all his friends and family. He will be remembered by his closest ones as being “The Best”!
Friends will be received at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 9600 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach. The Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:45 PM on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida (Lane #1).
