.FRANCES “Fran” SAVAGE
age 89 of Salt Springs, Florida and former longtime resident of Boynton Beach passed away Friday, November 22, 2013.
Fran was born May 24, 1924 in Wilburton, Kansas to the late Joshua Embree & Julia Ann Woods and grew up on the family farm outside of Duncan, Oklahoma.
While working in Chicago, Fran met her future husband, Donald Atkinson Savage and after a year courtship they were married on March 5, 1944. After almost 53 years of marriage, Donald preceded Fran in death on January 10, 1997.
Fran worked in many different fields during her life such as with Mark, Fore & Strike Department Store, as a Secretary/Bookkeeper for a Construction Company and her last job was with The Credit Union of Palm Beach County.
Fran is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Mike & Inez Savage, Mark Savage and Susan & Richard Ackerman; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Fran’s Life will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, Boynton Beach, Florida. A Celebration of Life will also be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Salt Springs Village, Salt Springs, Florida.
