FRANCES “FRAN” MARY MORRIS
age 90 of Boynton Beach passed away on Christmas Day Thursday, December 25, 2014. Fran was born March 3, 1924 in Manhattan, New York to the late Nicholas and Vincenza Abate. She retired from the Palm Beach Post Newspaper as the Direct Billing Manager of the Circulation Department. Fran was a longtime and very active member of the Boynton Beach Eagles and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Boynton Beach Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Besides her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Graham “Curt” Curtis, her siblings, Ted, Linda and Peter, and her granddaughter, Debbie Holland.
Fran is survived by her 3 children, Linda Corcoran of Lake Worth, Ginny Rawsthorne of Las Vegas, Nevada and Ted (Cathy) Gordon of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; 4 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Fran’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 & N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Alzheimer’s Association, Cancer Society or Hospice Association in Fran’s memory.
