Age 55 of Lake Worth passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Kevin, their sons, Trevor and Rutger; siblings, Diana Dorste of Millington, NJ, Mark Critics of Las Vegas, NV, Nancy Critics of Boynton Beach, FL, Susan Gaylor of Tucson, AZ, Donna Ribeiro of Fort Myers, FL along with many nieces and nephews. Ellen was born in Boston, MA June 22nd to C. Martin & Joan Critics (predeceased) before eventually arriving in Florida. Ellen's first career was as a dental hygienist, before she began her current career. She received her BA from Florida Atlantic University and began her 2nd career as an elementary school teacher. She was currently working at Banyan Creek Elementary in Delray Beach, FL. She loved being a teacher and was dedicated to her students, taking great pride in helping them advance and grow within the school system. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach with the funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM.
