ELIZABETH LEWIS PYNE
Of Chapin, SC and Lake Park, FL passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Lake Worth on Wednesday, June 5th. She was born on March 11, 1936 in Patterson, New Jersey to the late William and Martha McMaster Hiemstra of Wykoff, New Jersey and Ocean Ridge, FL. She graduated from Ramsey High School in Ramsey, New Jersey in 1954, worked for several years at Bell South of New Jersey before earning her B.S. in Elementary Education from William Patterson College. She was a dedicated Elementary School teacher for the Allentown School District for many years and had a special talent for teaching and bringing out the best in all of the children she worked with. While teaching in the Allentown School District she furthered her education receiving her Masters Degree in Special Education from Lehigh University.
She was predeceased by her first husband Charles R. Lewis in 1983 and second husband Charles T. Pyne in 2003. She was a devoted mother and will be greatly missed by her adult children Kristen Elizabeth Lewis of Hypoluxo and Dr. Antony C. Lewis of Lake Park and her beloved King Charles Cavaliers Eva Gardner, Frank Sinatra and Spencer Tracy.
