DONALD J. GROMKO

Donald J. Gromko age 97, of Boynton Beach passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Don was born June 11, 1928, in Norwich, Connecticut to the late Walter Gromko and Dora Juneau Gromko. Don proudly served his country by serving 2 enlistments in the United States Navy during WWII and Korea.

He and his wife, Irene moved to Boynton Beach in 1971 and quickly established his business as a Certified Public Accountant, retiring in 2004.

Don was very active in a number of civic organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5335 (Life Member) of Boynton Beach; American Legion Post 164 of Boynton Beach; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4476 of Boynton Beach; Fraternal Order of Elks #1352 (Life Member) of West Palm Beach; and the Boynton Beach Lions Club. He was also an avid golfer.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Irene; 2 daughters, Dale Ann Abbotts of Vernon, Connecticut and Dona Rose Billing of Londonderry, New Hampshire; 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

A Committal Service with U.S. Navy Military Honors will be held at a time to be announced at the South Florida National Cemetery 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida.
