DESMOND I. KELLY
Age 78 of Boynton Beach passed away Nov. 27, 2017.
Desmond moved to Boynton Beach in 1991 from Rochester, New York after retiring from Eastman Kodak with over 27 years of service. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Boynton Beach. Desmond’s favorite sports team was the Glasgow Celtics F.C. After moving to Sterling Village in Boynton Beach with his wife Catherine, they became involved in many activities with other family members and friends. He was an original member of FAB 7 and enjoyed the fellowship at the Tiki Bar on Fridays. He was deeply devoted to family and friends at Sterling Village.
Desmond is survived by his wife, Catherine; 2 daughters, Anne (Raymond) Quackenbush & Jacqueline (Kevin) Hanley; son, Thomas (Erin) Kelly; 4 sisters, Anne Healy, Elizabeth Regan, Kathleen Reynolds, Bridget Carroll; brother, Vincent Kelly and 10 grandchildren, Christina, Raymond, Sean, Stephen, Michael, Shannon, Thomas, Chelsea, Kassandra and Daniel.
Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Ave., Boynton Beach. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 643 St. Mark Place, Boynton Beach. Entombment will follow at Boynton Beach Mausoleum.
