Dennis Roberts

DENNIS H. ROBERTS 97 of Atlantis passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. Mr. Roberts was born September 1, 1915 in Peterborough, England to Richard & Elsie May Roberts. He arrived in New York City in May of 1930 with his parents and became an American citizen with his parents in 1942. Mr. Roberts was a Captain in the U.S. Army for the 356th Engineer General Service Battalion serving in WWII in the European Theater. Mr. Roberts is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Denise & Tom Ziemba; 4 grandchildren, Michelle (Gustavo) Espino, Kenny (Kelly) Olsen, Lilia (Abe) Mishal & Richard Roberts, Jr.; 6 great grandchildren, Brianna, Gia, Robby, Serene, Mia & Michael ; and also leaves behind his dear friend, Doris Wyckoff. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian in 2004 and his beloved son, Richard in 2001. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 & N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach.
