Denise (“Neesey”) was born in Summit, NJ to Gary Benson and Diane (Chirba) Benson on May 8, 1963 and passed away on February 1, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer.
A graduate of Sunnyvale High School in Sunnyvale, CA, Neesey grew up in Berkeley Heights, NJ and Saco, ME. She attended Thornton Academy in Saco, ME, graduated from Sunnyvale High School in Sunnyvale, CA and attended the University of Maine in Portland, ME.
Her career encompassed sales and human resources; and she was a passionate animal lover.
Denise is survived by her husband of 17 years, Greg Giarratana, her stepdaughter, Samantha, her father, Gary, and his wife, Faith; her stepfather, Bill Angis; her sister and brother, Cathy and Eric; her aunt and uncle, Barbara and Bob Benner; and her cousins, Liz and Brett.
