Debbie LaFata of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Sunday July 26, 2020. Debbie is survived by her loving children Paige, Jesse, and Brandy. Debbie was born on July 3rd, 1965 in Freeport, NY. A native of Long Island, Debbie was raised in Merrick, NY and is an alum of Calhoun High School. She moved down to Florida in 1996 with her late husband Jesse and raised their first two children, oldest daughter Paige and son Jesse Jr. in Boca Raton, FL. They would eventually make the move to their forever home in Boynton Beach, FL and welcomed their third child and youngest daughter Brandy to the family.

Debbie owned her nail salon business in Valley Stream, NY where she frequently took in many clients who quickly became close friends. Debbie took pride in her commitment to raising her three children. She enjoyed her time through her passionate involvement in her children’s education and extra-curriculars. Debbie was well known to be very supportive of her children’s decisions and her devotion to her late husband Jesse. Their intense love for one another is a staple amongst all family and friends that knew them. Debbie had many interests as well: one could frequently find her shopping, cooking, or closely following the latest celebrity gossip or reality TV. Along her journey in life she acquired so many close friends and acquaintances who deeply loved her and her outgoing personality; so much so that her nickname from her neighbors became “Queen of the Court” which quickly caught on and is still referenced to this day.

For the last 6 years of Debbie’s life, she fought a courageous battle with cancer with her loving husband by her side who devoted his life to her care up until the time of his passing in February of 2019. Time and time again, she overcame several prognoses and is known and admired for her continued resilience throughout her battle. Debbie is now at peace and once again reunited with her husband Jesse in heaven. Debbie will be deeply missed and remembered by all who love her.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 1st 2020 at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach, Florida.
