DEAN E. HEDGES
Age 81, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away, Wednesday July 4, 2018 at Manor Care Rehabilitation Center.
Dean was born September 9, 1936 in Tarlton, Ohio to Clyde and Genevieve Hedges. He married Sandy Lee Weisz in 1974. Dean was employed by AT & T - Bell South for over 37 years. After retirement Dean worked as a part time Auctioneer throughout the State of Florida. He and Sandy built a summer home in Sylvia, North Carolina where they resided six months out of the year. Dean loved maintaining his home inside and out. He always had a project going with his dog Dolly right by his side. Dean enjoyed following sports, traveling, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, daughter, Kellie Neslund and husband Mark of Pompano Beach Florida, Stepdaughter Tammy and husband Jim of Hypoluxo, Florida; grandchildren, Amy and husband John of Pensacola, Florida, Brandon of Burbank, California, and step-granddaughter Amber of Hypoluxo, Florida; brother Samuel and his wife Bobbi of Washington Courthouse, Ohio; and daughter-in law Patricia of Boynton Beach, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Mark of Pompano Beach, Florida, parents Clyde and Genevieve, brothers, William and Darrell.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday July 21, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 101 North Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, Florida. Dean wished to be buried in Tarlton, Ohio by his late parents and Son’s military marker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 101 North Seacrest Blvd. Boynton Beach, FL 33435.
