On Friday, October 11, 2024, David Lee Stark, passed away peacefully at the age of 81, at Trustbridge Care Center in Boynton Beach, FL. His well-being had been declining over the past few months. David combatted the trials of his health with more courage and strength than one could imagine. Despite his weak body, he stayed true to his philosophy of God and love up until his last moments.
He was born to Howard and Cathrine Stark on July 15, 1943, in Goshen, Indiana. He grew up on his family’s dairy farm and was responsible for milking over 50 cows a day. After graduating from high school, he attended Purdue’s College of Agriculture and finished his studies at Indiana Bible College. Upon graduation, he moved to Maryland and taught college classes at Elkton Baptist College. There he met his beautiful, young wife, Wilma Faddis and together they raised three daughters, Pam, Katie, and Heather.
David spent his time leading a rich and fulfilling life. Through his later years, with his grandchildren and grand-dog, he embraced a softer side of life which carried him into a new, relaxed lifestyle. David enjoyed spending long evenings swimming at the pool, taking peaceful drives down the beach, cruising with loved ones, and most importantly putting on his Sunday best to be with his Heavenly Father. David's recent hobbies were cracking jokes with his nurses and doctors. He never lost his sense of humor, which served as a constant light in the darkness for his family and friends.
He is predeceased by Howard and Cathrine Stark (parents) and Ronald Stark (brother). He is honored and remembered by his wife, Wilma Stark; daughters, Pam Heck, Katie Stark, and Heather Sagesse; sons-in-law Brian Heck, and Jeff Sagesse; grandchildren, Rylie Heck, Cason Heck; sister, Joyce (Stark) Parker and nephews; Francis Robinson, James Robinson.
All are welcome to celebrate David’s remarkable life as we gather at Maranatha Bible Church on Sunday, October 20, at 12:30 pm.
