Curtis "Curt" Carnie Fausak, 80, born on January 24, 1944, in Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away on December 2, 2024, after a life well lived.

Curt was the son of the late William O. Fausak and Eleanore (Carnie) Fausak. He grew up in Elberon, New Jersey, where he developed a love for the beach and ocean.

Curt was a sweet, kind, gentle, and loving man, whose presence made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His granddaughter, Bailey Maria Wernik, brought him pure joy. Curt and Maxine loved spending weekends with Bailey, filled with adventures, such as trips to Build-A-Bear, dining at restaurants, playing with stuffed animals, and visits to the mall. These memories will forever be cherished by Maxine and the entire family.

Maxine and Curt shared many cherished moments together, especially on their frequent trips to the Amish country in Lancaster, PA where they traveled several times a year. Curt had a love for driving and road trips, always eager to explore new places with Maxine by his side.

Curt was also an avid lover of the beach and pool, finding peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his optimistic philosophy, often saying, "Don't wait, do it now," a reminder to live fully in the moment.

Curt served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 in Mannheim, Germany. His service to his country was a testament to his commitment and dedication.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. He worked at Precision Circuits Inc. as a Proposal Manager, Cost Estimator, and Inside Sales Administrator, where his expertise and dedication were valued. Curt later worked for New Jersey Sports Expo/Monmouth Park, serving as a Division Head Supervisor, where he continued to demonstrate his strong leadership and work ethic.

Curt’s love for driving served him and Maxine well as they embraced the lifestyle of snowbirds for 25 years. They cherished their time spent in Neptune Township, New Jersey during the summers and Gulfstream, Florida during the winters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Maxine Wernik-Fausak; his stepdaughter, Robin Trebora Wernik; step-daughter-in-law, Doreen Stanislaw; his granddaughter, Bailey Maria Wernik, of New Jersey; and a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A private visitation will be held at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home on December 23, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at South Florida National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
