CRYSTAL MARIE WILCOXEN

age 32 of Lake Worth, Florida passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend was born on February 28, 1989 in Temple, Texas to Bobbie Ratliff Wilcoxen and Gary Wilcoxen.

Crystal is survived by her parents along with her 2 brothers, Leland “Rain” Wilcoxen and Eric Wilcoxen; niece, Aaliyah Liberty-Fayth Wilcoxen; nephew, Myrrick Alexander Wilcoxen; grandmother, Linda Ratliff; grandfather, Leland E. Wilcoxen; uncles, David L. Ratliff, Curtis Ratliff, Leonard Ratliff, L. Gregory Wilcoxen, Christopher Wilcoxen, Jeffery Wilcoxen, Timothy Wilcoxen and Johnny Wilcoxen.

Crystal was preceded in death by her grandfather, David F. Ratliff, her grandmother, Rose Mary Wilcoxen and her uncle, Jack E. Ratliff.

Crystal attended grade school in Temple, TX; graduated from Franklin Community High School in Franklin, IN in 2007 and from Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Sociology.

Crystal had a love of giving back in many ways. As a child, she always volunteered at community events and then at the age of 14 she began volunteering with Johnson Memorial Hospital (JMH) where she spent the next 6 years giving her time to the Discovery Child Care Center, the JMH Information Desk, the JMH Health Affiliates, the Tod Aikens Elder Care Facility and the JMH Materials Management departments. She gave her time to the Annual Circle of Hope Dinner Committee, a part of the Fairbanks Addiction Treatment Center. While serving on this committee she was able to personally meet Judy Collins and Meredith Baxter. Crystal did an internship with Kids in Crisis Intervention Team, Inc. as a part of her Sociology degree. She enjoyed this opportunity so much that she continued to volunteer her services for more than a year

after completing her internship. She also spent 5 valuable years serving the needs of the Indiana National Guard 1438th Transportation Company as a member of the Family Readiness Group. Since relocating to Florida in 2015, Crystal continued her giving spirit by adopting children and families around the holidays to ensure these families were able to share wonderful memories with their families.

She worked in a variety of organizations from taking care of children to working alongside technical teams in the temporary staffing/contingent workforce arenas.

Crystal was passionate about every aspect of her life, whether it be her family, her niece and nephew, her work, her volunteer opportunities, or her friends and extended family.
