Clarence Warner Garel aka “Warner” or “Wimpy”
Warner, 56, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away at home on September 17, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Born July 22nd, 1966, in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Carl and Shelia Garel, he was the last of four children. Faith and family governed his life from a very early age – followed by friendships! He attended Saint George’s College and played soccer for his high school. He started his professional career in the Tourism sector before transitioning to the International Shipping/Logistic space where he spent much of his career, which is what instigated his move from Jamaica to Florida.
Warner was a practicing Catholic who served as a Eucharistic Minister. He instilled the importance of the value of practicing one’s Faith to his boys. Attending Mass as a family on Sundays was a sacred and paramount act for him. He was a loving husband to Racquel and father to Kai and Chad. He would often be heard saying “nothing is more important to me than my wife and boys.” He was the supermarket shopper because it was not an activity that Racquel enjoyed. He was the early riser of the family and the one who would make lunches, which often had a handwritten note for his beloved Racquel. He was a permanent fixture at any sports event that his boys participated in. In recent years, he was committed to taking Chad to all his baseball games no matter where or how far he had to travel – even in illness, his commitment was resolute.
He valued friendships and invested heavily in those that he bestowed that title on. He was also an avid sports fan, who was very diverse in his interest, but had an affinity for Soccer – as he would say, “the real football.”
Warner was loyal, compassionate, thoughtful, funny, loving and kind. His life presented as a wonderful reflection of God’s most perfect love, and he will be missed dearly by many. Warner will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Racquel, of 23 years; his sons Kai and Chad; his sister Megan; his brothers Rohan and Troy; his mother-in-law, Doreen; sisters-in-law, Nadine, Natasha, Toni-Gaye, Antoinette, Andrene, Paulette, Michelle, Gail, and Camille; brothers-in-law, Edward, Thomas, Andrew, Richard, Marlon, Geno, Jerome, and Alex; and his many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
A funeral Service in memory of Warner will be held on Friday, October 7th at 10:30am at:
