Claire Marie Wiest (Nee) Metzger, 90 years old, of Boynton Beach, Florida died peacefully on Sunday,
September 25, 2022.
Born in 1932, in South Buffalo, New York, Claire had a lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. She later graduated with honors from Buffalo State College with a degree in Primary School Education. Claire was an inspirational teacher and taught grades K-3 in various schools in the area. She was invited to become the Primary School Coordinator for the Buffalo Board of Education where she proudly developed an effective curriculum for young students.
Claire was devoted to the teachings of the Catholic Church and lived with a meaningful faith through her life in prayer and service.
Claire will be joyfully reunited with her husband Charles (Chuck) Wiest.
She will be lovingly missed by her children Steven (Patricia) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Barbara (Frank) Segale of Margate, FL, Lisa of Penfield, NY
(Grandchildren Adam, Alison ( George) and
Jacob (Alix) and Amy D’Anna (Joseph) of New York,NY ( grandson Charles) and nephew James Moore ( Stacey) of Gastonia, NC and grandnephew Nicholas.
Claire was predeceased by her sister Margo Moore (James) of Gastonia, North Carolina.
A funeral mass in memory of Claire will be held on October 4th at 10am at
Holy Spirit Catholic Church
