In Loving Memory of Cindi Courbat Cox

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow to announce the sudden and tragic passing of Cindi Courbat Cox of West Palm Beach, Florida, on March 11, 2025. She was 68. Our beloved mother, wife, sister, friend, professor, scribe, and missionary ascended to join the Lord and angels she so dearly loved.

Born on December 30, 1956, in Oneida, New York, adopted by Charles Courbat and Marcia Mitchell Courbat, she was a beacon of faith and service throughout her life. Her spirit, as gentle as the peace doves she adored, touched countless lives across the globe.

As a dedicated college professor, she instilled knowledge and wisdom in her students, always encouraging them to seek truth and understanding. Her passion for words extended beyond the classroom; she was a skilled scribe, capturing the essence of songs, stories, and precious moments with her elegant penmanship.

Cindi's life was a testament to her unwavering faith. She lived a life of faithful service, answering a profound calling as a scribe on a mission to serve God. Her journeys took her across the continental USA many times and overseas to Haiti twice, where she shared her writings, her faith, her love, and her compassion — leaving behind a legacy of kindness and hope. She possessed an extraordinary ability to see the divine in every person and every moment.

Her love for peace, doves, and angels was a reflection of her own ethereal spirit. She found comfort and inspiration in their presence; her home was filled with reminders of their grace. She often spoke of them as messengers of peace, much like the peace doves she cherished.

Her home was filled with the serine sound of a pen rapidly scribbling on paper, a typewriter or computer keys clacking throughout the night. We would hear her whispering prayers for us, finessing the words in the book she was writing and retelling her stories of hope and faith, which were filled with moments of profound connection and desire to serve humanity and the Lord.

Cindi will be deeply missed by her surviving children Christina White, Sandra Sprouse, and Sean Sprouse; grandchildren Carizma, Serenity, Selah, Eliana, Sean-Theodore; siblings Tina, Sonya, Denis, Ricky, husband William; extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Marcia Courbat.
