Dr. Christopher N. Chiodo
80 years old Boynton Beach, Florida Passed away Monday, November 13, 2023
Born June 10, 1943, in Niagara Falls, New York to David and Flora (Melidona) Chiodo
He moved to Palm Beach County with his family when he was 15.
Dr. Chiodo graduated from Palm Beach High School. Attended PBJC and FAU.
Graduated from The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1969 and practiced 50 years
in Palm Beach County. During High School and College, he played the base guitar in Rock
& Roll bands in both Palm Beach County and in Cleveland Ohio. His band The Bel-Aires
played at the Lake Worth Casino, The Palm Beach Pier, The Armory, fraternity
parties and many private parties in Palm Beach which led him to play at a private
party at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. This was the highlight of his musical
career.
He practiced Podiatry from 1969-2020. He loved Podiatry, his employees, and his
patients. He was on Staff at Bethesda Memorial Hospital and JFK Hospital. He was a
member of the Ambulatory Surgical Committee for many years at Bethesda Hospital.
He moved his family from West Palm Beach to Boynton Beach in 1972. Where he
became involved with coaching his children in Softball and Baseball. He always
took pride in supporting his children, community, employees, and all the kids in the
neighborhood. He was a mentor, a teacher, and was always willing to help and guide
anyone who needed it. He was a devout Catholic professing his faith. He was eager
to share his knowledge and research especially to anyone that came knocking on his
door. He loved books, research, writing and furthering his knowledge.
Chris will be remembered by his beloved wife, Linda of 55 years and loving children
Natalie (Chris) Maloney, Christopher, Kim (Teddy) Tate, Doting grandchildren:
Taylor (Henry) Bien-Aime, Isabella, Charlie, Danica, Brianna, and great grandchildren
Zeke and Stella. His sister Marie Bradshaw. Sister in law and Brother-in-law Janice and
Jeff Polen, and sister-in-law Michelle (David) Chiodo. Nephews Zachary, Alex, Joseph
Polen, Darin (Bonnie) Chiodo, David (Amy) Chiodo, Alyssa and Emily Chiodo.
He always held a special place in his heart for his many cousins.
Chris was predeceased by his brother David Chiodo.
Friends will be received at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 N.E. 15th Avenue,
Boynton Beach from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 4, 2023. The Funeral
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at St. Thomas More
Catholic Church, 10935 South Military Trail, Boynton Beach.
