Charles Kenneth Smith (Chuck), age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Hospice at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was born October 12, 1937 in Waterbury, Connecticut. He later relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida, becoming a long time resident, where he met and married his late wife Hazel Pauline Smith. Chuck opened his own business “Chuck’s Auto Repair” in Boynton that he owned and operated as well as owning numerous gas stations in the surrounding area. He then continued his career at “Lloyd’s Auto Electric” for 20+ years.
He is survived by his two sons, Charles Scott Smith, Chris Edward Smith, Chris’ wife Dawn Marie Smith, two grandchildren, Kyle James Smith and Lauryn Ashley Smith, his nephews, Jimmy Smith and Lee Smith, his niece Wendy and her husband Neal Franklin and their two sons Patrick and Ryan Franklin, his sister in law Anne Schnabel as well as his beloved dog Mandy.
Chuck’s soul and spirit has guided and influenced all of us throughout all of life’s endeavors. His generosity and compassion touched the lives of everyone he met, and his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who knew him. The memories he created with his family and friends will remain in our hearts forever. He has joined his beloved wife, Hazel, eternally, where they will be together forever.
