Carolyn Marie Duffy

Carolyn Roux Duffy, 83 years old of Boynton Beach, Florida entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, March 23rd, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 14, 1942 to the late Wilfred Luke Roux and the late Marie Virginia (Spinks) Rolfe. She attended Seacrest High School where she met the love of her life the late Edward Duffy. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was genuine and touched many lives with her presence. She was very strong, a breast cancer survivor, she enjoyed traveling with her sister, the late Shirley Larson and many good friends, reading a good book and riding her horse. She surrounded her children with love, family and faith in God.

Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her three children, son and fiancé, John Duffy and Theresa White of Chipley FL; her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and James Shelhamer of Reddick, FL; her daughter Maureen Duffy of Ocala, FL; her grandchildren, James Shelhamer Jr. (Taylor) of Reddick, FL; Sara Andes of Virgina; Heather Persampieri (Anthony) of Reddick, FL; Jared Duffy (Katy) of West Palm Beach, Florida. Her great grandchildren Emmalyn Persampieri, Anthony Persampieri Jr. and Kendall Shelhamer all of Reddick, FL; and Jackson Andes of Virginia. Her sister-in-law Diane Roe (Larry); her brother-in-law, Brian Duffy; her nieces and nephews, Pam Burns (Jack) Paul Larson (Pam and Jenna); Mark Roe (Betty); and John Roe.

Friends will be received at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach, Florida on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the service time at 11:00 AM.
