Carol Hince Hall passed away on August 4, 2016 at the age of 64 in her home in Jupiter, FL.

Born to the late Bill and Margaret Hince, Carol was raised in Farmington, MN. She attended The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, graduating with a B.S. in nursing in 1973. She became qualified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1978 and obtained a Masters in Health Science from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1989. She was certified as a Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 1991.

Carol had a long and successful career as a nurse and nurse practitioner. After serving as a staff nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, she moved to Greenville in 1975 and worked as a staff nurse at Greenville General Hospital. Over the years she also held positions with Greenville Health Department, Shriners Hospital and others. She served as a member of the Board of Directors for Greenville's Metropolitan Arts Council, Greenville County Special Needs and Disabilities Commission, Greenville Symphony Guild, St. Francis Circle of Friends, Warehouse Theatre and Safe Harbor. She was a member of Leadership Greenville Class XXI. She was also a volunteer for the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, FL and The Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta, FL

Carol is survived by the three children of her marriage with Cary Hall, Christina Hall of Atlanta, Georgia, William Hall of Greenville, SC, and Dorthe Hall of New York City. She is also survived by her brother Michael Hince of Farmington, MN, her sister Ann Ayd of Apple Valley, MN, her sister Kathy Metke of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, her sister Judy Kroells of Rosemount, MN, her brother Philip Hince of Gilbert, AZ, her brother Jim Hince of Denver, CO and her sister Deborah Schwartz of Round Rock, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Carol Hall’s name to the Metropolitan Arts Council by check or money order to MAC at 16 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29601or to FAVOR through favorgreenville.org.
