Bonnie Sue Longcore Boyd, 65, died Sunday September 25, 2016 at her home in Lake Worth, FL.
Bonnie was born April 6, 1951 the daughter of Donna Longcore and the late Laurence Longcore, and the sister of the late Ronald Longcore. She grew up in Troy, MI and graduated from Troy High in 1969. After high school, she attended Western Michigan University and went on to become a Registered Nurse and earn her Bachelors of Nursing after moving to Florida in the early 70's.
Bonnie was the Director of Disease Management and Clinical Research for AlphaNet, Inc. in Coral Gables, FL where she will be remembered and revered for her many contributions to the understanding and treatment of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
She enjoyed politics, reading, and summers in northern Michigan with her family. She was loved by all for her intellect, quick-wit, big smile, and tremendous sense of humor.
She is survived by her mother Donna Longcore, sister-in-law Julie Longcore, nephews Larry and Bryan (Becci) Longcore, three great nephews and one great niece, as well as her life-long friends Randy and Marcia Humphrey and their family.

A celebration of life will be planned in Spring 2017 in Petoskey, MI.
