Ms. Bianca M. Brown, a long-time resident of Airlie, NC, and more recently, Virginia Beach, VA, and Boynton Beach, FL, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 8, following a brief illness.

Ms. Brown immigrated to the United States from Germany, becoming a U. S. citizen in 1957. Following her careers in the arts, business, and journalism, she moved to North Carolina's beautiful countryside.

Full of zest for life and being true to her heritage, Ms. Brown enjoyed good hearty cuisine, music, and time socializing with friends. Her devoted love for animals, including frogs, and her passion for flowers and nature conservation will long be remembered. She pursued this love and passion fully on her Airlie farm for many years before moving to Florida. Ms. Brown also had a great concern for the education of young people in Halifax County.

She will be remembered for her "larger than life" personality, her determination and advocacy for truth and just causes, as well as the twinkle in her eyes as she affectionately called her loved ones "Dahling!"

Survived by loving friends, Ms. Brown will be missed greatly. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother and other family members. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 1:30 PM, at Homewood Residence, Building 4, 2400 S. Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL, with The Rev. Marty Zlatic officiating.
Memorials may be sent to Heifer International, P. O. Box 8058, Little Rock, AR 72203-8058, or, to The Salvation Army National Headquarters, P. O. Box 269, Alexandria, VA 22313.
