Betty Jane Sauer passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was 90 years old.
Betty was the daughter of Arthur Strunks and Martha Poppel of Hamilton, Ohio, and the sister of Norman Strunks. She spent the first 30 years of her life in the Buckeye state and married Kurt William Sauer on June 30, 1956.
Betty spent her second 30 years in North Texas where she had four sons, Kurt Arthur Sauer, Kent William Sauer, Kevin Edward Sauer, and Keith Allen Sauer. Betty spent most of these years in the Lone Star State raising four boys while attending endless little league football, baseball, and basketball games.
Betty spent the last 30 years of her life in Boynton Beach, Florida with her husband and was neighbors to her brother and sister-in-law. While in the Sunshine State she acquired two daughters-in-law, Karen (Kevin) and Joanie (Keith), and three grandchildren, Matt, Emily, and Konner.
Betty spent her final years living life on her own terms in her beloved condominium over-looking the beautiful intercostal watching boats and manatees pass by.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Martha and Arthur Strunks, husband Kurt Sauer, son Kent Sauer, brother Norman Strunks, and sister-in-law Rita Strunks. The family is grateful to Cathy McCormick for providing loving care and a listening ear to our mom for many years.
The Memorial Service will be held at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 599 N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach, Florida at 12 Noon on Saturday, October 10, 2020.
