Betty S. Pafenbach
Age 87, of Boynton Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017.
Mrs. Pafenbach was born August 14, 1930 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to the late Thomas Stephens, Jr and Barbara Brown Stephens.
She graduated from Framingham State College with a degree in Home Economics and taught sewing through 4-H and in the public schools.
Mrs. Pafenbach belonged to the P.E.O Sisterhood, a philanthropic organization committed to promoting educational opportunities for women and served as the Massachusetts State President 1988-89.
She retired to Florida with her husband Bill, and was active in the Boynton Woman’s Club.
Mrs. Pafenbach is survived by her 3 children, Alan W. Pafenbach, Anne K Czupryna (partner Mark Austin), and Carol Baer (John); 3 grandchildren, Joseph & Stephen Czupryna, Bethany Baer: twin brother Gerald Stephens (Yvonne); sister Judith Klaubert (dec’d husband Jack); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Pafenbach, Jr.
A Committal Service will be held Monday, December 11 at 9:30 am at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lane 5, 6501 S. State Road #7, Lake Worth, Florida.
