Betty-Jane Lee

Mrs. Lee was born in Greencastle, Indiana. Daughter of late Dr. Truman G. Yuncker and Ethel Burnett Claflin and was a former resident of East Lansing, Michigan, moving to Boynton Beach Florida in 1974.
She was employed by the East Lansing, Michigan Public Schools and the Palm Beach County Public Schools before retiring in 1977.
She graduated from Greencastle High School, and attended DePauw University in Greencastle Indiana, and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Fraternity. She was a 25 year member of the Girl Scouts of America; Volunteer for the Mid Michigan Chapter of America Red Cross; A member of the Boynton Beach FLorida Woman’s Club and Friends of the Boynton Beach Library. A member of Palm Beach Genealogical Society, and the Canaan Historical Society of Canaan, NY. A 43 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 164 Boynton Beach. A member of the Estahakee Chapter of D.A.R. A 76 year member of the National Daughters of America Revolution and an associate member of Hendrick Hudson Chapter D.A.R. of Hudson, NY. Genealogy was her hobby and a member of the Clan MacLachlan Association of North America; the Issac Allerton Chapter of The Mayflower Society; Santa Margarita Chapter of Daughters of America Colonists; Poinciana Chapter of Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America; Associated Daughters of Early American Witches; War Hawks chapter of Daughters of War of 1812; Lord Baltimore Chapter of Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. She was member of The Claflin Family Association, the Fuller Family Society, the Pilgrim John Howland Society, and the Thomas Rogers Society, Inc.
Her husband, Robert J. Lee, preceded her in death in 2004 they were married 59 years. Children; Terry Alan (Shulan) Lee, of Boynton Beach FL, Craig Malcolm (Marcia) Lee of Sun City West AZ, Candance Sue Lee Melvin of Rockport TX and Lansing, Michigan. She has 5 grandchildren, Kimberlee Marie Melvin Jones of Lansing, Michigan, Nathalie Caroline Lee (Eric) Batut, Coreilhan, France, Chantal Ethel-Alice Lee (Armando) Cabreira of Villelongue de la Salanque, France, Jacqueline Ruth Lee Mahoney of Carlsbad, CA, Byron Douglas (Michelle) Lee of Gilroy, CA, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
