Bernice Spells Walker Profile Photo
Bernice Spells Walker was born December 15th, 1935, in Delray Beach, Florida to the late Mr. Jerry and Mrs. Allean Scippio Spells. She was the tenth of eleven children (nine girls and two boys). She received her education in Palm Beach County School System and attended Carver High School in Delray Beach.

Bernice married the love of her life Eddie Walker Sr. February 4th, 1956. Afterwards, she dedicated her life to God and was baptized April 1956, as a Jehovah Witness. This union brought forth eight beautiful children.

Bernice had an affectionate smile that she wore, often. Throughout her life she worked as a housekeeper. Her favorite pastimes were shopping, collecting antiques, traveling the world, and gardening. Bernice loved to preach to people about Jehovah's Kingdom and his future promises for mankind. She served Jehovah faithfully until her transition early morning on Saturday, December 4th, 2021.

Proceeded her in death: Her loving parents, seven siblings and her devoted husband of forty-five years, Eddie Walker Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children: Kathy Thomas, Sheila Biddines, Eddie Walker Jr. (Catherine), GLoria Jones, Douglas Walker, Stephanie Walker, Michael Walker (Ruthie), and Stacie Newton (Lawrence), twenty grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, three sisters: Francine Clinton, Lorine Harmon, Lillian Houston, six sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sorrowing friends and spiritual families.

Mom lived her life at its BEST! She always had this quick wit, that made you wonder. She stayed in the stores searching to find the next expensive item to buy, so she could talk about it. Her sacrifices made us strong. Her courage taught us to be the best mothers we can be.

Momma often said, "Life your life, but whatever life you chose to live: Be the best at it." "Don't cry for me because when I go, I will be asleep with the loved ones that passed before me."
