Barry Allen Brandenburg AKA “Unkeb” from Lake Worth, Florida, passed away on November 13th, 2025, at the age of 70.

Barry was born in Berea, Kentucky, to Etta and Herman Brandenburg.

Living most of his young life on a farm, he joined the Navy at 17 to travel the world. He worked on the USS Midway in Navy Air Operations on the flight deck for 6 years.

Barry became a father to a son, Barry Allen Brandenburg ll, in 1975.

After the Navy, he moved to Florida to be close to his family and found the love of his life with Laura Cloutier.

They enjoyed 47 wonderful years together while raising their daughters, Rachel Brandenburg McCaskey and Christy Brandenburg.

Barry worked as a mechanic, truck driver, and as the IT Administrator for the City of Boynton Beach until his retirement in 2020.

He was an avid golfer and was dedicated to Callaway products, which gave him his nickname on the golf course as “Mr. Callaway.”

He recently completed his woodworking shop and was creating beautiful items for local craft fairs.

Barry Brandenburg’s surviving family members are his loving wife, Laura Cloutier Brandenburg; his son, Barry A. Brandenburg ll; two daughters, Rachel M. McCaskey and Christy M. Brandenburg. 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

His younger siblings Steven R. Brandenburg, Tammy L. Slagle and Tina L. Gonsman. He was an Uncle to 12 and a Great Uncle to 18 nieces and nephew’s.

Barry was proceeded in death by His mother Etta Asher Brandenburg and His Father Herman C Brandenburg.

Barry was incredibly talented and had a special charisma that impressed everyone he met.
