Barbara Jane McNulty
Went to be with her father in heaven on March 26, 2015 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Ogdensburg New York, Barbara Jane Lesperance to Arthur and Edith Lesperance on March 18, 1931 she spent most of her young life in upstate New York eventually marrying John McNulty, a milk dealer in Watertown who preceded her 14 years earlier.
Barbara worked the milk business with her husband until closing in 1968 and moving to Lake Worth Florida with her two young sons. She was a stay at home mom that loved being a mother to her boys. She went to work when her youngest was in the third grade at the same school, Sacred Heart Catholic School, as a kindergarten teacher where her sons were students.
She was so proud to see her children graduate Catholic school and her beliefs were unmatched having considering entering the convent before being married. Always enjoying teaching Barbara spent 26 years teaching at Sacred Heart and Saint Juliana and she still substituted for several years after retiring. Barbara and her husband John sacrificed a great deal to provide the education and beliefs brought by Sacred Heart and Cardinal Newman which was not realized easily because of the simple life they had mapped out.
Many of her students have said that their start in life towards their adulthood and careers were the success of her as a kindergarten teacher.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Patrick and David, their wives Rosanne and Tracey, her grandchildren Kaitlyn and John, and Heather and Jeston.
Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Ave., Boynton Beach.
