Barbara Betancourt (bb, Barbie), age 16, Greenacres, Florida, passed away September 12,2019.
The funeral service and viewing will be held between 1pm-8pm with a Prayer Service at 5 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, 1622 North East Fourth Street, Corner of U.S. 1 & N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach, Florida 33435.
Barbara was born in Bethesda Hospital at 4:20 pm, January 28,2003. She is the daughter of Eva Monica Miranda and Ubaldo Betancourt. She was the youngest of one sister, and two brothers.
She was a junior at John I Leonard Community High School. Barbara had just started working at Little Caesars Pizza as her first job. She was working towards her independence, buying her own shoes, paying her phone bill, and helping her parents out with the water and light bill. Barbara loved hanging out with friends, and listening to all types of music. Barbara was a free spirit. She always tried to live life to the fullest. She was the most humorous, stubborn, happy person, you could ever meet. Barbara would always put up a good front to make people think nothing fazed her, but don’t let that fool you, she was a very sentimental person. She was very unsure about the future, the unknown life had to offer, but she never backed down from a fight. She would head straight into whatever situation she was faced with, good or bad, with her head held high. Barbara was the type of person that would try to make the best out of everything and anything. Barbara was turning into a strong, independent woman, just like her mother. In this time of mourning, we should remember how Barbara lived and the impact she made in our lives, and try our best to carry ourselves through life like she did.
