Arlene L. Hanson, age 78 of Boynton Beach passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016. Arlene was born September 11, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Leonard E. and Leona Arndt Kozak. In 1963 Arlene moved from Ohio to Fort Lauderdale, then moving to the Leisureville Community in Boynton Beach in 1997. She was a loving mother, sister, friend and neighbor who was always caring and supportive of her children and they in turn returned her love. As a single mother, she worked hard to provide for her children and unselfishly support them in everything, she possibly could. She is survived by her 3 children, Edward R. Hanson, David A. Hanson and Wendy K. Hanson; 2 sisters, Evelyn Farner and Linda L. Pitcher.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of U.S. Hwy. #1 & N.E. 15th Ave., Boynton Beach. Graveside Services will follow at 2:30 PM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 State Road #7 (Hwy. #441), North Lauderdale, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 in Arlene’s memory.
