La Barca, Anthony, “Tony,” 86, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away at the hospital on November 3, 2022.

Born February 22, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York, Tony graduated from the NY School of Printing. Tony became NYP’s all star shortstop and 3rd baseman for the Printers International Baseball League. He dreamed of playing professionally one day but took a detour. He became a lithographer and in later years found his passion as National Sales Manager working for Vermont American, a tool company based in New York. Tony played ball his entire life and in his senior years played for the Huntington Cougars, a traveling baseball team based on Long Island for the Senior Softball Association. He was voted Most Valuable Player and inducted into the Long Island Hall of Fame, receiving the Outstanding Player award in 2004.

Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Terry of 62 years, his loving children; Patricia, Salvatore, Kathleen, his daughters-in-laws, Yvette, Lori and son-in-law Joe, his beloved grandchildren, Samatha, Steven, Anthony and Amanda. Tony was predeceased by his brother Vito La Barca.

A Cremation Mass in memory of Tony will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 100 West 21st Street, Riviera Beach, Fl 33404.
