Anthony Peter "Tony" Christon, a beloved and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the age of 83. Anthony was born on March 21,1941 and raised in New Hyde Park, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marietta Smith. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Maureen "Connie" Christon; his cherished daughters, Alethea Christon and Amanda Christon; his little sister, Libby Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were close to his heart.

After high school, Anthony served his country with pride in the U.S. Navy. He went on to earn a degree in electrical engineering from C.W. Post, a profession that allowed him to combine his analytical mind and natural ability to solve problems. A tinkerer at heart, Anthony’s passion for working with his hands extended far beyond his career, becoming a way for him to share his talents and make a difference in the lives of others.

Anthony was a founding member of Habitat for Humanity of Loudoun County, Virginia, where he dedicated many years to helping those in need. Using his skills and patience, he not only helped build homes in Loudoun County, and later in Palm Beach County, but also mentored younger generations, teaching them how to work with their hands and instilling the value of service in their lives.

A celebration of Anthony's life will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home in Boynton Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anthony’s memory to the Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Foundation or Trustbridge Hospice Care.

The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to the compassionate care teams at Bethesda Hospital East and Trustbridge Hospice in Boca Raton for their care and support during Anthony’s final days.

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
