Ann Louise (Wease) Silvey (née Koshorek), was born in Detroit, May 16, 1952 to Dolores Louise and Alexander Koshorek (both deceased). Sadly, passed away too young at 68 years of age, June 19, 2020 in Greenacres, Florida.

Ann Louise was a devoted, creative and supportive mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her children survive her; daughter Karla Wilson, with husband Shem, have two children; Komisa and Nikko. Nikko has two children, Santana and Nikko Junior. Son Kurt, with wife Carrie, have two children, Taylor and Tyler. Son Kyle, with wife Mikki, have one child, Elwood. Daughter Stephanie, with husband Tim, have two children, Anderson and Liam.

Ann Louise is also survived by sister Kristine Williams, former sister-in-law Donna Smith, brothers Michael, Christopher and Neale Koshorek. And by nieces Angela and Lynne Koshorek, uncle David DeClercq, and numerous cousins.

Wease lived her first years in Royal Oak and Southfield, Michigan, becoming a voracious reader at an early age.
Later, from age 7 growing up in Addison Township, Oakland County, Michigan, she lived on the family orchard farm with her parents and siblings and grandparents, George and Nellie DeClercq and uncle David.
During the 1960’s, Wease learned to sew (making many of her own clothes) and cook with her mother and grandmother. Also, she took piano lessons and became a decent pianist, but abandoned playing piano after high school (claiming she ‘wasn’t very good at it’).
Also, during the 1960’s, gardening and woodworking (with her father, a willing teacher), became lifelong interests.
Additionally, Wease enjoyed horse back riding the family’s pet horse, Cricket. Several school friends nearby also had horses, and she many times went horseback riding with them. On one such ride, Wease and her friend traded horses. When they came upon a large mud puddle in the trail, Cricket proceeded to roll in the mud with Wease’s friend scrambling to avoid being submerged under the horse! After that, they rode their own horses.
Among the learning experiences Wease had during the 1960’s was caring for her younger siblings, especially Neale and Kristine who were born when she was 12 (Neale; 1964) and 13 (Kristine; 1965) years old. She later expressed that she “couldn’t wait to get home from school each day to see those babies”. She was always willing to shoulder their care when needed.
Throughout those years, extended family, consisting of many aunts and uncles and their children (cousins), were important and loved relationships. Also, time spent at the family’s cabin on Perry Lake in northern Michigan was a major source of excitement, growth and family cohesion, happiness and good experiences that had a major impact on Wease and the whole family. Swimming, hiking, boating, gathering firewood, and playing games were always highlights of being at ‘the cabin’.
Her first jobs outside of home were at Albans Country Cousin restaurant in Lake Orion, MI and then rural newspaper delivery of The Oakland Press around the countryside of Metamora in Lapeer County, MI. Quite the challenging job in less than reliable vehicles during Michigan winters and springs.

Ann Louise graduated from Oxford (MI) High School with the Class of 1970.

She was married to Mark Silvey in 1971. They divorced in 1995.

During her marriage to Mark, she lived and raised her family in the Otisville, MI area with many friends and activities centered around her devotion to the Jehovah’s Witness faith.

Following her divorce from Mark, Ann Louise moved to the West Palm Beach area of Florida. She was employed at a neurology practice for many years. Later worked at an assisted living facility and most recently provided care for her mother-in-law, Eunice Silvey.
