Andre Aubesse Iraus

Andre Aubesse Iraus passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at JFK Hospital. He was born on November 3, 1937 at Fondoie, Leogane in Haiti. He was married for 51 years to Marguerite Iraus before she went to heaven on June 5, 2015. Together, they raised their 5 children, Dr. Gertrude Joseph Chateau, Echela Sanon, Alberta Anosier, Jean Rodlin Iraus and Andre Bastien Joseph who is no longer with us.
He worked most of his life as a manager at a gas station in Haiti. He loved and adored his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. In fact, throughout the day, he had the habit to call family and friends everyday to check on them, which will certainly be missed greatly by everyone.
Andre was known for his passion and dedication to God. He served passionately in his church community as a deacon at Saint Bernadette Church in Haiti for several years. Although he was facing several adversities and challenges with his health. Nevertheless, he was always looking forward to his weekly church services. He loved God and always praised him everyday of his life.
Andre was a person one could really depend on. He was constantly supporting his children and would adequately help them no matter if they chose to climb the tallest mountain or to build the biggest block tower. Whenever he noticed that someone was going through some heartache, he would always provide his spiritual advice and said to get it together and pray to the Almighty for guidance. He was a man who will be missed not only by his children, his grandchildren, but also by anyone who had crossed his path.
Daddy, you are gone, but you are never forgotten. I know that you are rejoicing with mommy and those watching over us. I also know that you would have wanted us to celebrate your life and speak about our fond memories with a smile on our face. Let us not dwell on our significant loss, but instead focus on paying tribute to your remarkable life.
Andre is survived by his children, Dr. Gertrude Joseph Chateau and husband Roland Chateau; Echela Sanon and husband Adyb Sanon; Alberta Anosier and husband Scott Anosier; Jean Rodlin Iraus; grandchildren, Madgene Moise, Gertsey Moise, Ralph Thelemaque, Adleothard Sanon, Savannah Sanon, Scarlett Anosier, Scott Anosier Jr., Sherly Iraus, Faudlin Iraus; his brother Dieudonne Iraus: nephew Max Joseph; Niece Nicole Joseph, his sister in law Simone Durandisse and several nephews, nieces, and a host of loved ones and friends.
