Yeshua said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life! Whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25-26.

Alfonso Darío Linares Rodas passed away on October 2nd, 2021 in Boynton Beach, Florida.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Linares, his children Dave Linares, Ingrid Linares, and granddaughter Naomi Ramirez.

Darío was born on February 2nd, 1953 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. On September 20th, 1975, he recognized Yeshua as his L-rd and Savior and quickly became part of the congregation’s body by serving as usher then as usher leader, playing at the Elim orchestral, with his drawing skills, he contributed to numerous caricatures for the Elim’s newspaper, he evangelized in the buses and anywhere he thought was needed, he was also invited to many different churches, from the mountains to cities to preach the Word of G-d until Darío was called by his Apostle Othoniel Ríos to take over as a Pastor in Jalapa, Guatemala from 1996 to 2000. He had a PhD in Theology.

On February 21st, 1981 got married to Patricia Linares, née Del Cid, and had two wonderful children, Dave and Ingrid Linares.

Dario will be remembered by his devotion to his family, his charisma with the people, and his love to talk about his Savior Yeshua. His truly passion was to share G-d’s Word with everyone and took every chance that he could to talk about the Bible teachings. He was a caring husband, father, and grandfather—his first and only granddaughter Naomi was the apple of his eyes.

One of his last words were “The L-rd is Good and Faithful always”. His life was an example for many, for us, he was a gift from G-d, one that we did not deserve. His legacy may not be wealth, nor a great name among others, but something bigger: he loved the L-rd more than anything else.

“I wait for the day I will be with you again, when the gates of heaven open up to me and I see you standing there smiling at me”.
