ADWIN “SONNY” RODRIQUES DaCOSTA
Age 85 of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Bethesda Hospital.
Adwin was born on September 28, 1930 in Kingston, Jamaica to Sylvia and Adwin Rodriquez DaCosta. On June 1, 1955 he married Alice Randall McLennan in Kingston, Jamaica. Sonny was self-employed as a handyman, “You Name It, I Do It.” He enjoyed time with family, dancing, fishing, gardening and traveling.
Adwin is survived by his wife, Alice; daughters and son-in-laws, Yvonne Forbes, Maggie Patterson (Randy), Sandy Peters (Larry), Debbie Morrell (Larry) and Michelle Massias (David); brothers, Keith, Melbourne, Derrick, Dennis, Trevor, Charles & Michael DaCosta; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene McCulloch and brothers, Carl & Kenneth DaCosta.
Adwin was loved by all.
A Celebration of Life viewing will be held at 9:00 AM and the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Seacrest Presbyterian Church, 2703 N. Seacrest Blvd., Delray Beach, FL. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Park South Cemetery, 11655 S.W. 117 Avenue, Miami, FL.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to support a missionary trip. Checks may be made payable to Alice DaCosta with memo to mission trip.
