JOSEPH FRANCIS BUONO JR.
age 48 of Miami, affectionately known as Joe, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 tragically due to a Motorcycle accident.
Joe was a proud U.S. Marine Veteran, a retired employee of the Veterans Administration; Director of the Pets for Vets, South Florida Chapter; Vice President of the Military Vets Motorcycle Club; member of the American Legion Post #131, Palmetto Bay, Florida; and a marathon runner. Joe strived to help people in whatever endeavor he was involved in whether that be work, organizations he was involved in and personally.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; 2 daughters, Courtney & Madison Buono; mother, Suzanne Buono; Lisa’s parents, Jorge & Maritza Valdes; sister and her husband, Christina & Paul Verdi; sister-in-law and her husband, Michelle & Gabriel Reategui; nephew, Phillip; nieces, Taylor & Ava; and his service dog, Commander.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Francis Buono Sr. on June 19, 2014.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 634 St. Mark Place, Boynton Beach, Florida. A Private Family Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
