John E. George

John Edward George of Deerfield Beach, FL passed away suddenly on March 18, 2019. He was born on November 16, 1958 to Theresa and John Russell George, Jr. He is survived by his mother Theresa George Toland, sister Tracy George McGuckin, brother-in-law Richard M. McGuckin, Sr., nephews Richard (Marty) M. McGuckin, Jr. and John Russell McGuckin and step grandmother, Beverly Greca. He was preceded in death by his father John Russell George, Jr. and stepfather Joseph L. Toland. John grew up in Jenkintown, PA and also resided in Glenside, PA. He was a graduate of Abington High School Class of 1977 where he excelled in football and lacrosse. He also attended Drexel University. He has resided in Florida for the past 20 years and was a Senior Financial Analyst at Greenwise Financial Solutions, Boca Raton. John will always be remembered by his infectious smile, love for his family, loyalty to friends and kindness to animals. He was the greatest uncle to his two nephews whom he cherished. He will be sorely missed by his loving mother and furry “brother” Brio. He was the ultimate Burt Reynolds and MAGA superfan. Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday March 23, 2019 at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Boulevard, Delray Beach, FL 33483. Burial April 4, 2019 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 17, 2019, 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 259 Forest Ave, Ambler, PA 19002.
