Jim Baral, known as “Big Jim” by many, passed away on September 2, 2017. Jim was born on Dec. 4, 1970 in Hartford, CT. His passions in life were cooking for family, vacations at Myrtle Beach but none more than racing! Asphalt modifieds and NASCAR. You could find Jim watching the races every Sunday. His favorite place to be was at any track with his brother Jeff. Jim was looking forward to retiring in North Carolina and taking up golf after living in Florida since 2004 with his loving wife, Beth (who he referred to as “Darlin”) and his 3 sons, Jimmy Jr., Jordan and Noah. Jim had a huge heart, loved family more than life itself and would give you the shirt off his back.
He is survived by his wife, Beth; mother, Susan; son, James D. Baral, Jr.; stepsons, Jordan P. Savitch & Noah D. Savitch; brother, Jeffrey R. Baral; half brothers, Richard Baral and Jay Thaxter; granddaughter, Aubrey R. Baral; nieces, Kaitlyn Baral and Kendra Baral and many loving family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Richard I. Baral.
Friends will be received at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
